Listen to Hilary Smith as she talks
from the heart.
Hilary Oxford Smith grew up in a small rural and fishing community on the far north east coast of Scotland. She emigrated to New Zealand ten years ago and is married to Kiwi, Clive.
A minister in the Church of Scotland, she has held various ministry appointments in Aoteraoa New Zealand, mainly in the South Island. Hilary’s vocation though has taken her beyond the church and into the communities where she has lived.
With a certification in pastoral care and counselling, she facilitates workshops, seminars, retreats and offers one-to-one support for people who are bereaved and also for professionals and carers who support those who are grieving.
A local lass, she enjoys walking along the lovely beaches in North Otago with her two terriers, Wilson and Watson, driving through Dansey’s Pass and the word on the street is that she makes an awesome pan of Scotch Broth!
She’s really looking forward to being at Happy Days Radio and sharing the good company of her listeners.
The Reverend Hilary Smith can be heard on Happy Days Radio 88.3 FM every first Wednesday of each month at 10.30 am and Saturday afternoons on Pamela's variety show at 1.15 pm.
